COMPANY PROFILE
PT Jaya Kencana, established in 1965, is one of the first Mechanical and Electrical Contractor in Indonesia. We are also recognized as one of the pioneer to introduce elevator and Escalator technologies to the country in 1983. Growing together with the vast development of our nation, and at the same time survived the ups and down of Indonesian economy has transformed the company to become a strong and reliable institution.
We has played a significant role in Indonesia constructing industry, contributing in the development of every aspect of humanity, from office building, schools and universities, hospitals, apartments, shopping districts, government building, factories and many more. With more than 3000 projects and counting, our expertise is beyond doubt. We are now recognized as the nation's leading Mechanical Electrical Contractors due to our Excellence, Expertise, and Experience. Our commitment is to bring the best quality in constructing in timely manner without neglecting the safety for both our valued workers and clients.
HISTORY
Since our inception in 1965, as a small enterprise in a single and modest office room, PT Jaya Kencana has become a large and successful Mechanical and Electrical Contractor. This has grown from the trust and mutual respect given to us by our customers. We attribute this success to our professionalism, hard work and total commitment to provide the highest return to our customer's requirements of quality, speed, safety, cost savings and energy efficiency.
1965, PT Jayakarta was founded by Ir. Harijadi Ramli and Ir. Iskandar Dewanto to do Electrical works. At that time, the total staff included two directors and only four electricians.
1970, To improve its image and emphasizing its commitment to the industry, the company's name was changed to PT Jaya Kencana Electrical Company. To accommodate the growing for air conditioning, a sister company, PT Jaya Kencana air conditioning Company was established. A new partner, Ir. Herdianto Prasodjo, joined to strengthen the organization.
1975, After re-organization and rationalization, PT Jaya Kencana air conditioning Company was merged into PT Jaya Kencana Electric Company, and Ir. Herdianto Prasodjo was taken in as partner in the company.
1983, We were appointed the sole agent of Goldstar elevators in Indonesia. PT Jaya Kencana now has the largest elevators and Escalators market share in Indonesia.
OUR TEAM
Our people are the most important asset at PT Jaya Kencana. In fact, we aim to be different by always having reliable, skilled and experienced staff, thus ensuring that every job is completed with the highest quality possible. Today the company employs more than 500 people, of whom more than 50% are engineers and skilled technicians. We realized from the very start that the quality of our services could only be as good as the quality of our people. We therefore take time to develop our people before extending our services into new markets.
Our recruitment requirements emphasize on personal attitude as well as technical know-how in handling a wide variety of projects, from the simple to the most complex. We provide all our staff with on the-job training, and also send our staff for overseas training. Employee safety, training programs, and fringe benefits have made our employees happy to be member of Jaya Kencana family. Some of our staff have been with us since we started in 1965. Recognizing that the quality of our service depends on prompt action and fast response, we have implemented a very simple organizational system so as to eliminate bureaucracy and maintain our high levels of customer service.
WAREHOUSE
PT Jaya Kencana has 2 warehouse, one warehouse in salemba office and the main warehouse is located in Cakung, east jakarta that covers an area of 2 hectars. The warehouse stores an extensive stock of spare part for every generation of our Lift and Escalator, and also ready stock for our other products. Our Cakung warehouse also act as a ducting fabricating line and preinsulation of pipes.
We strictly maintenance the condition of goods in our warehouse, especially Electronic parts, which we store in a special conditioned room (temperature < 30° C). We keep all items in roofed area, to avoid weather exposure to rain or direct sunlight that might cause damage.

In line with our commitment to bring best quality and service to our valued client, we are proudly announced that we have upscale our international standard to meet the new ISO 9001:2015 in quality management. With the new quality assurance certification, we aim to give continual improvement to our service, which is to be able to give the best Mechanical and Electrical construction services in the nation.
We are thrilled to announce that PT Jaya Kencana has successfully implemented ISO 45001:2018, the international standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. This certification reflects our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for our employees and stakeholders. ISO 45001:2018 ensures a systematic approach to managing occupational health and safety risks, complying with regulations, and fostering continuous improvement. By prioritizing employee safety, implementing robust risk management processes, ensuring compliance, and striving for continuous improvement, we demonstrate our dedication to excellence in occupational health and safety.
